Are you passionate about making an impact in your community?
Joining a committee is a powerful way to contribute your skills, ideas, and energy to Open Media.
By joining an Open Media committee, you’re not just volunteering your time – you’re actively shaping decisions, driving change, and helping to build a stronger, more collaborative environment.
Anyone can join the committee as a guest.
After 2-3 months of participation, if the candidate wants to make a year-long commitment to the committee, the committee votes on their addition, making them an official member, and eligible for participation.
After a minimum of 3 months service on a committee, any committee member can be nominated to serve on the OMF Board of Directors by the chair of the committee.Â

It's time to . . .
Thank you for your interest in joining an Open Media Foundation Committee! It is important for us to ensure that the entire community is included in our decision-making process.Â
Therefore, our policy is to invite all applicants to attend an upcoming meeting of their chosen committee.Â
If they show consistent attendance for 2-3 months and state an interest in making a long-term commitment, the committee will vote on whether to invite them to join the committee for an official term of one year.
